ART For LIVING

Because the art we live with becomes part of who we are

Founded in London in 2017 by Nika Kirpichenko, Eclectic Gallery presents original paintings, sculptures and prints by living contemporary artists from Britain and around the world. The gallery is located in Fitzrovia, Central London, a few minutes from Oxford Street, and works in the primary market, representing its artists directly.

Our Mission

Creating the gallery collection, I am guided by a very clear idea: Art for Living or Eco-Art, which I define as Art suited for the spaces where we live, work and welcome people. I think of art ecologically, in the oldest sense of the word: “Eco-” stems directly from the Ancient Greek word οἶκος (oîkos), which translates to “house” or “home”. So, we use “Eco-” in the sense of the spaces we live in, and the relationship between an artwork and a person.

Art is not only something to look at now and then or admire occasionally. It is something we live with. It becomes part of our everyday environment, quietly shaping our mood, our energy and even the way we think and feel.

Unlike other Art forms, paintings and sculptures are always present. You cannot switch them off. They continue to influence you, even when you are not consciously paying attention to them.

That is why choosing art for your home is so important. It is not just a decorative decision, but a deeply personal one. It is about what feels right for YOU, what brings light, balance, and harmony into your space and your life.

Not all art belongs in living or working spaces. Some artworks are intentionally provocative. Some confront us with conflict, anxiety, catastrophe or emotional darkness. They are important. And they absolutely have their place. But they are not meant to live with you every day.

Our focus is different: the art you surround yourself with should support you. It should bring clarity, inspiration and a positive emotional presence into your daily life. It should elevate your space and, in a very real way, your inner life. And this is our responsibility as a gallery.

  Nika Kirpichenko, Founder & Director

Our Artists

That responsibility begins with the artists we choose. Painters and sculptors from Britain and across Europe exhibit alongside artists from Latin America, the Middle East, Asia and North America, each with a distinct way of seeing the world. Bringing them together is central to our purpose: to amplify contemporary artistic voices locally and internationally, and to inspire, challenge and enrich the world through the art community.

Their work is just as diverse, ranging from oil and acrylic painting, gold leaf and hand-set Swarovski crystal to sculpture in stone, bronze, stainless steel and wrought iron.

For the artists we represent, we offer far more than a place on the gallery walls. We present their work at art fairs and organise solo shows, pop-up exhibitions, events and collaborations. We also provide career guidance, social media content, interviews and photo shoots, and we publish an annual general catalogue of the collection, as well as individual catalogues for selected artists.

Living with Art: Advisory & Commissions

Beyond presenting art, we help collectors find the pieces that resonate with them personally, the art they would truly enjoy living with every day. We do this through consultations, home rehearsals when we try artworks in the collector’s space, trial periods or creating digital mock-ups before they buy.

Art Advisory

As an additional service, we offer art advisory for private homes, businesses and hospitality spaces. We begin by understanding each client’s vision, interior style and goals, and curate a selection of works suited to the space. Consultations take place in person or virtually, and delivery and installation are arranged through our partners. We also work with interior designers and developers to bring curated art into their projects. For clients outside the UK, advisory is available on request, depending on location.

Commissions

Many of our artists accept commissions for paintings and sculptures, including sculptures for interior and exterior spaces. The client chooses the artist, describes what they would like to see expressed and gives the dimensions; the artist then creates the work in their own manner, style and materials. We guide each commission from the first conversation to the finished piece.

Gift Vouchers

Art makes a lasting gift, and an Eclectic Gallery gift voucher leaves the most personal part, choosing the work itself, to the person who receives it. The recipient can select a painting, a print or a sculpture from our collection, and use the voucher as full payment or as part payment if the chosen artwork is more expensive. Vouchers are a thoughtful present for family, friends or colleagues.

Exhibitions & Events

At the gallery, group, duo and solo exhibitions change every two to three weeks. Outside our own space, we present our artists at art fairs and in pop-up exhibitions across London and further afield.

We regularly hold private views and events. A private view may mark the opening of an exhibition or take place during its run, and our evenings often include artist talks, Q&A sessions, panel discussions or live painting. Private viewings at the gallery can be arranged by appointment.

We also create events and exhibitions in partnership with hotels, members’ clubs and film festivals, including COMO The Halkin, Nobu Hotel London Portman Square, The Maslow’s Club and Nessa in Soho, the London Latino Film Festival and the Women Without Borders Film Festival.

On our website and social media, we share videos of our artists at work and interviews with them.
