Eclectic Gallery proudly presents Hommage's second exhibition, from 30th October to 4th November, a homage to iconic art-exhibition posters. Carefully chosen and exquisitely framed, this collection showcases the works of celebrated artists like Picasso, Matisse, Miró, Chagall, and Léger from the 20th-century Modern Art world.
The origin of these posters can be traced back to late 19th-century Paris when they were first used for cabarets and theaters. Over time, lithographic posters transformed into sought-after artworks. The meticulous lithography process, which involved skilled craftsmanship, created unique posters, a collaboration between Fernand Mourlot and Pablo Picasso after World War II transformed lithography into an art form in itself.
Hommage's creator, Harry Pruden, is thrilled to expand the collection, featuring gems like Damien Hirst's Cherry Blossoms series and Matisse's 'L'art Independent au Petit Palais' from 1937. Join us at the Eclectic Gallery and own a piece of art history at a fraction of the price.
