The Bite Magazine dedicated an artist profile in its Spring/Summer 2024, Issue 35 to Mexican visual artist Juan Carlos Navarro, with images courtesy of Eclectic Gallery. The feature, titled “I See Beyond the Body”, explored Navarro’s artistic journey, creative philosophy and the recurring themes that shape his work.
The article traced his development from an early fascination with drawing and painting through his studies in architecture and his eventual decision to become a full-time artist. It also examined his interest in colour, layered compositions and the search for visual balance, alongside the influence of music, cinema, nature, metaphysics and psychology on his practice.
Navarro spoke about ideas of inner peace, interconnectedness and personal transformation, as well as his interest in Carl Jung’s concept of the shadow and the relationship between darkness, evolution and transcendence. The profile also reflected on his previous bodies of work, including Kinetic Sound Image, Lineal Non-Linear and Naturales.
The publication highlighted Navarro’s recent presentation at Eclectic Gallery in central London, where his work formed part of an exhibition celebrating the beauty and strength of women around International Women’s Day. Works referenced included I See Beyond The Beauty, Evolution, Mind in Spirit, Elevation to Higher Vibrational Frequencies, To Embrace The Presence I Am and Ludic Connection With The Abstract.
The feature offered an in-depth introduction to Navarro’s artistic practice, his influences and his international exhibition history, while also directing readers to discover more of his work through Eclectic Gallery.
