Besos Robados is the Cuban title for François Truffaut’s Baisers volés (Stolen Kisses, 1968), following Antoine Doinel through a series of comic and melancholy romantic adventures. Truffaut’s recurring character finds himself moving between relationships, jobs and uncertain adulthood.
The celebrated 1970 ICAIC poster was designed by René Azcuy Cárdenas, whose highly economical composition transforms the idea of the stolen kiss into a striking graphic image. The original poster is documented as a Cuban screen print commissioned by ICAIC.
