‘Martic’ is a French contemporary artist. He lives and works in La Roche de Glun, a village in the south of France. Martic was born in Valence on 30th May, 1970 and began his career as a blacksmith. Initially working as an artisan, little by little he began exhibiting his work. 

His portfolio reflects a rich and original approach to the forge, and is representative of a new generation of metallic design. The sculptures themselves are striking juxtapositions: the hardness of the metal united with the gentle, feminine elegance of the curves. Steel is the artist's material of preference and is made to serve as a conduit of raw emotion.
