Javier Bajo was born in Madrid in 1973, soon he moved with his family to the north of Spain, where he spent his childhood. Afterwards, he moved back to the capital for his high school and university studies.
After a brief period studying Architecture, he learned about the essence and representation of architectural shapes, he completed his Fine Arts studies at the Fine Art University (Universidad Complutense de Madrid).
He continued his own development as an artist practicing at the painter Angel Torres studio in Madrid, combined with a self-teaching learning.
He mainly focuses in the experimentation of essential concepts like shape, space, color, perspective and creation materials, both through the representation of human body and landscape.
During the last few years he has lived in Madrid and has worked at his studio in the city center. In addition, he has lived in different locations throughout Europe, Africa and USA.
