Uncover Liverpool featured British artist Danny O’Connor ahead of Awakened Dreams, his solo exhibition presented by Eclectic Gallery at Nobu Hotel London Portman Square. The article followed O’Connor’s journey from his artistic roots in Liverpool to the presentation of a new body of work in central London.
The publication explored O’Connor’s distinctive mixed-media practice, shaped by influences from graffiti, comics, tattoo art and expressionism. Working with acrylic, spray paint, ink, graphite and collage, the artist has developed a recognisable visual language centred around layered portraits and figures.
The feature also highlighted milestones from O’Connor’s career, including presentations at Selfridges London, the LA Art Show, Moniker Art Fair and Affordable Art Fair, alongside commissions and collaborations with brands and organisations including Hard Rock Hotel, Ellesse and Everton FC. It also referenced his artwork for Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel Confess and its television adaptation.
Presented by Eclectic Gallery, Awakened Dreams took place at The White Box at Nobu Hotel London Portman Square from 11 to 23 August 2026. The exhibition’s Private View included a Q&A with O’Connor followed by a live painting demonstration, giving guests an opportunity to experience the artist’s creative process in person.
