Boris OA Chile, b. 1982

Biography
Chile
The origin of the Boris OA practice lies in the creation of still lifes moved by pop surrealism. In contemporary times it can be placed within the parameters of the lowbrow style, often dreaming of narratives and delusions, with an abundant use of a certain kind of Baroque and “horror vacui.” The artist tirelessly seeks to organise reality through colourful and fluid processes, overflowing each painting with images and ideas ready to be imprinted in the mind of those who come across it.
Obregón creatively executes eternal stories that give the viewer access to his world, a lively and highly chaotic place that rejects the established order. It is a world where the landscape insists on narrating the disordered existence of those who inhabit a territory marked by internal and external conflicts. A place composed of mysterious situations and above all, visual chaos.
