Biography
Israel
Nimrod began his creative life at a very young age sculpting in his father’s workshop. After travelling around the world for many years he finally settled in Marbella in 1999 setting up his own workshop and gallery. It was there that Messeg began to develop his personal and direct method for sculpting.

The artist’s craft involves working solely from wrought iron. The one-of-a-kind sculptures are created using over a thousand individual pieces of metal applying a number of ancient forging techniques, welding, power hammering, and plasma torch. These techniques enable the creation of unique textures, effects and shapes, rendering the sculptures unique in style and appearance. These methods permit a complete transformation of brutal, base metal into something beautiful, gentle, light, curvaceous, even soft. The evolution of Messeg’s artworks takes place through a landscape of forms: from organic natural shapes to delicate or muscular animals and expressive faces. Sustained focus and passion are present in the creation of Messeg’s hugely popular and gracefully sensual female torsos. To date, his unique sculptures are greatly sought after by leading international galleries.
