Many admirers of your work might be curious about how you developed your distinctive style. Could you take us back to the beginnings of your artistic exploration and shed light on the steps that shaped your current artistic identity?

From a young age, I immersed myself in the world of photography, and it became not just a profession but a way of life and a personal ethos. Being a photographer in the closing years of the 20th century was an stimulating experience; it was a life far from ordinary, marked by extensive travel and encounters with diverse individuals and fields of work. But photography applied to art had to wait a some years. As I am the son of a painter, I have always known that one day I would dedicate myself to art.

The evolution of an artistic style is a journey. How do you view the progression from your early works to your current style, and what pivotal moments have
guided this transformation?

My journey has been one of continuous exploration and growth, and it's a testament to the idea that an artist's style is never static but rather a reflection of their evolving perspective and experiences.

To be more specific, my artistic work has predominantly centered on exploring the relationship between photography and painting. More recently, my paramount inspiration has been the challenging equilibrium between humanity and the natural world.

How do you approach finding inspiration for new artworks? Are there certain places, experiences, or sources you consistently turn to?

Ultimately, inspiration can be found everywhere; it's about being open to the world and receptive to the beauty and complexity that surrounds us.
I also draw inspiration from my travels and experiences. Exploring new cultures, meeting diverse people, and witnessing different cities can be incredibly inspiring. Even everyday encounters and conversations can take you to great ideas.

How do you decide on the medium and techniques for each artwork? What factors influence these choices?

The technique itself has become well-defined and proven over the course of many years. However, the realm of painting on photographic support continues to offer vast potential for development, as it marries two immensely potent artistic tools.

Can you discuss a specific artwork that embodies your chosen theme exceptionally well? What emotions or ideas do you hope viewers will take away from experiencing it?

I believe that the transformation of the urban landscape, the repositioning of buildings into imagined spaces, presents a profound challenge. Additionally, the constant presence of nature, which gradually reclaims spaces once dominated by asphalt and the less appealing aspects of the city, can be quite startling for observers. It reshapes their preconceived notions of the urban landscape significantly.

Can you recall a specific instance when a viewers interpretation of your work surprised you or provided a new perspective you hadnt considered before?

Absolutely, there was one memorable occasion when a viewer's interpretation of my work took me by surprise and offered me a new perspective.

I had created a painting that I thought conveyed a particular emotion and theme, but during an exhibition, a visitor approached me and told me how he saw the artwork as a representation of resilience and hope in the face of adversity. His perspective shed new light on my work and made me appreciate the depth of interpretation that art can inspire.

We’ve been privileged to showcase your work in various exhibitions. Could you discuss the process of curating and preparing for these exhibitions and how they’ve impacted your career?

Now is the time to talk about London, the magnificent European capital that serves as an unending source of inspiration with its remarkable blend of historical and contemporary elements, tradition and cutting-edge technology. This city, known for its inclusive and welcoming spirit, has played a significant role in my creativity drive for the artwork you currently see on display at Eclectic.

Exhibitions provide opportunities for artists to connect with their audience. What do you hope viewers will take away from experiencing your artwork in a gallery setting?

Exhibitions indeed offer valuable opportunities for artists to establish a connection with their audience. When viewers experience my artwork in a gallery setting, I hope they will take away a deep sense of emotional resonance and a renewed perspective on the city around them.

Collaboration often opens new avenues. Are there any potential collaborations or interdisciplinary projects you are considering exploring in the near future?

This is the time to talk about Artificial Intelligence. If you can say that it is a collaboration, it is extraordinary.

It allows me to open myself to a new world with infinite possibilities, getting closer to almost any place in the world. It is a camera that gives you wonderful images of animals, landscapes, interiors, machines and a very long etcetera. AI opens up a world of marvelous opportunities and creative potential that knows almost no bounds.

It's clear that your artistic journey is driven by passion and creativity. Before we conclude, could you share a piece of advice for those who may be facing challenges in their artistic endeavors?

This profession requires total commitment, a willingness to invest enormous efforts and tireless daily dedication. It is a path where passion is paramount and you either embrace it completely or find it impossible to imagine life without it. The journey is undeniably challenging, however, there are numerous deeply satisfying moments that clearly make up for all that difficult road.
